Small Garden

So, my garden is small! But you can make a big impact even in a small garden at a glance if you can use your mind’s eye. I can visualize my plant combinations or colors of flowers even they still not exist in the garden. So, the plants arrive later and fill the gaps. Although it is difficult to achieve the cottage garden effect and the wilderness atmosphere of a wild garden in a small space, but I love such effects and tried in my own garden.

Pots and containers

Pots and containers are the best friends for small gardeners. You can hang hanging baskets wherever you can hang and use the pots on your terras when it is absurd to dig. The pots can also fill the gaps in your garden in between plants and the tender plants can also be in pots which have to go inside in winter.

The plants

While I was first in Belgium, I never knew a single European plants or species. But we all can learn of course! So, I learned by reading books, via internet and via BBC gardeners world programme. Little knowledge about plants, over their growing methods, preferable soil conditions and sickness remedies can never stop to have a green finger of your own!
